Physics Playground

When designing this exhibit for the Pacific Science Center, the main goals were to combine existing interactives into a new cohesive narrative, clarify concepts and major themes, and create a visual identity that feels light, playful, and appeals to all ages.
This was achieved through defining sections with similar themes, using interpretive signage to educate and enhance interactive experiences. Diagrams on light, simple machines, and physical forces demonstrate concepts without language for best visual impact and clarity. Existing interactives contained a multitude of color combinations. To coordinate these, I used a neutral dark blue as the primary and infused the previous colors in accents in the title treatment as well as pulling out new color combinations to delineate the new sections. Along with the bright colors, fun patterns and arrows give the identity more playfulness.
