A lone scuba diver finds themselves in the depths, suddenly surrounded. This illustration is meant to invoke the feeling of seeing into the expanse and realizing that you are truly alone and danger lurks in unfamiliar waters.
In my initial sketch I focused on making the scene feel deep and the scuba diver isolated. Sharks circling metaphorically worked for this image while also providing a beautiful shape to the whitespace.
